About Collecting Kentucky
Jean Frazier and Steve Tipton's friendship was built on a mutual admiration for collecting Kentucky antebellum antiques. From 17th century Kentucky coin silver, to regional antique furniture such as sideboards, cupboards, desks, and sugar chests, to chairs and textiles, and even civil war artifacts, the pair have amassed an incredible collection.
In 2013 their love of Kentucky antiques was the inspiration to publish Collecting Kentucky 1790 - 1860, a remarkable book showcasing Kentucky artifacts from over fifty of today's most inspired private and public collections.

Collecting Kentucky also operates an antique store at 3700 Lexington Rd in the heart of St. Matthews. Inventory varies, so it's best to call first if there is something in particular you're looking for (502) 895-1660. Dealers and interior designers are welcome and may request an appointment.
